Environmental Monitoring This device integrates ten meteorological parameters—negative oxygen ions, PM2.5, PM10, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, oxygen content, noise, wind speed, and wind direction—and outputs the data simultaneously via an RS485 digital interface. It enables continuous, 24-hour online monitoring in outdoor environments and is suitable for applications such as atmospheric pollution monitoring, agricultural greenhouses, and the monitoring of major hazard sources.
Environmental Monitoring By integrating ten meteorological elements—including negative oxygen ions, PM2.5, PM10, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, oxygen content, noise, wind speed, and wind direction—into a single, highly integrated structural unit, this device achieves continuous, 24-hour online monitoring of outdoor meteorological parameters. Utilizing an RS485 digital communication interface and the Modbus protocol, the sensor outputs all ten parameters simultaneously, thereby significantly simplifying the hardware design of data acquisition systems; users are no longer required to configure separate sensors and interfaces for each individual parameter. The complete sensor unit contains no moving mechanical parts. It employs ultrasonic principles to measure wind speed and direction; the light scattering method to detect PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations; diode junction voltage and capacitive sensing principles to acquire temperature and humidity data, respectively; piezoresistive sensing for atmospheric pressure; the cylindrical electrode aspiration method for collecting negative oxygen ion data; electrochemical sensing for oxygen content; and capacitive sensing elements for noise measurement. In terms of specific performance metrics, the Environmental Monitoring features an air velocity measurement range of 0 to 60 m/s with an accuracy of ±0.1 m/s; wind direction measurement covers the full 0 to 360° range with an accuracy of ±2°; the temperature measurement range is -40 to 60°C with an accuracy of ±0.3°C; the humidity range is 0 to 100% RH with an accuracy of ±3% RH; and the atmospheric pressure range is 300 to 1100 hPa with an accuracy of ±0.25%. Both PM2.5 and PM10 measurement ranges span 0 to 1000 μg/m³ with an accuracy of ±10%; the negative oxygen ion measurement range is 0 to 100,000 ions/cm³; the oxygen content range is 0 to 25% Vol; and the noise measurement range is 30 to 130 dB. The sensor housing is constructed from ASA engineering plastic, offering excellent UV resistance and corrosion resistance, ensuring that it remains discoloration-free during prolonged outdoor use. The probe features a snap-fit design, effectively eliminating issues related to loosening during transportation and installation. The product offers an optional wireless transmission module with a minimum transmission interval of one minute, thereby meeting user requirements for real-time data availability.
Regarding application scenarios, the Environmental Monitoring is suitable for a wide variety of settings, including atmospheric pollution monitoring, agricultural greenhouse environmental monitoring, and environmental surveillance of major hazard sources. In agricultural greenhouses, the sensor can capture real-time data on temperature, humidity, light intensity, wind speed and direction, and particulate matter concentrations; when integrated with an automated control system, it enables the precise management of ventilation, irrigation, and shading operations. In scenic areas and forest parks, the real-time monitoring of negative oxygen ion concentrations aids in the assessment of air quality levels. According to industry research data, the global market sales for meteorological and environmental monitoring sensors reached 8.094 billion RMB in 2025; this figure is projected to reach 13.16 billion RMB by 2032, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.3%.
